Located under Yudalsan Mountain's Ideungbawi Rock, overlooking Mokpo City, the sculpture park opened as Korea's first outdoor sculpture park in November 1982 and has been leased and exhibited excellent works by members of the Korea Sculpture Park Research Association, but most of the works have been replaced as the exhibition period has expired. The works were selected and replaced through recommendation screening under the theme of "Nature, Culture, and Sculpture," which symbolizes culture as a maritime quasi-sim city, and the sculptures installed were newly opened in August 2008 in consideration of the harmony with the surrounding environment. In particular, the works of famous foreign sculptors installed in Yudalsan Sculpture Park are works that have been recognized for their outstanding work through the international bird's-eye symposium, showing high artistry along with domestic sculptural works. As the ornamental trees harmonize with nature, they are in the spotlight as a commemorative photo spot for tourists visiting Yudalsan Mountain. In addition, it is equipped with convenience facilities such as an outdoor music hall, fountain, and rest area, and is used as a shelter for citizens.
Entering the road at the entrance of Yudalsan Mountain standing at Nojeokbong Peak, there is a sculpture park on a low hill where you can see the majesty of Ideungbawi Rock at a glance, each sculpture is well harmonized with the surrounding scenery, and rare trees are planted around it to add to the attractions. Not only can you walk along the trail and look around the sculptures, but there is also a hiking trail from the park to Ideungbawi Rock, so you can also hike Yudalsan Mountain.

The scenery is pretty, but it's fun to look at the sculptures.
