The Seongok Memorial Hall, located comfortably under Yudalsan Mountain in Mokpo, is a cultural space built by the teacher's children in 2004 to commemorate 88-year-old Misu of Sungok Lee Hoon-dong, founder of Chosun Naehwa Co., Ltd. and publisher of Jeonnam Ilbo. The 1,723.4㎡ (522 pyeong) of land, 739.4㎡ (224 pyeong) of building, and 9m high stone building next to the garden of Yihun-dong, Jeollanam-do Cultural Heritage Material No. 165, stand out in beauty. The memorial hall displays works of modern and contemporary calligraphers, who have been carefully collected by Sungok Lee Hoon-dong throughout his life, as well as Korean paintings and ceramics. In the central hall, the lobby of the Seongok Memorial Hall, a stuffed Siberian tiger is displayed next to the archives, and when you enter the entrance of the memorial, there is a piece of jade and an amethyst stone pillar that weighs more than one ton It is suitable for taking pictures because it is used as a proof shot and photo zone. The exhibition room consists of four exhibition rooms: the archives (Sungok Lee Hoon-dong and relics), the first exhibition room (pottery), the second exhibition room (cartoon calligraphy, Korean painting), and the third exhibition room (Korean painting, crafts) In the second exhibition room, works by Korea's leading masters, including Chusa Kim Jung-hee, Sochi Heo Ryeon, Namnong Heo Gun, and Gyeomjae Jeongseon, are displayed. In addition, Korean paintings of masters are on display in the third exhibition hall, especially the works of Bodeokgul Cave in Geumgangsan Mountain, which are known to be of high value.
