Built in 1925, this building was the base of the anti-Japanese movement of young people in Mokpo during the Japanese occupation, and is a historic place to publish a magazine called "Joseon Youth." Since it was built by raising funds from all walks of life as a fundraising campaign to build the hall, each part was functionally processed without any special design elements. It is the cradle of the national movement held by young people in Mokpo during the Japanese colonial period, and it was built and operated with the independence of the Korean people and served as the center of the Mokpo youth movement.
